*HELLO*

Welcome to my blog. I'm just a regular person that enjoys reading. I participate in multiple online bookclubs as well as monthly and yearly reading challenges. I love discussing the books that I've read, and plan on reading. Although I'll post my book reviews from various genre's, most will be from romance sub-genre's such paranormal romance, sci-fi romance, and romantic suspense; in addition to urban fantasy.

Dmitry's Closet (The Medlov Crime Family, #1)Dmitry's Closet by Latrivia S. Nelson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

For a series starter, Dmitry's Closet is absolutely amazing. This is combination of mafia/ IR romance that just grabbed me from the first chapter and truly hated to see it end. I think the only thing that kept me from crying at the end was knowing that there are more books to follow. Dmitry is the baddest bad guy hero that I love to love, and Royal the innocent but not too naive heroine that I couldn't help but root for. The relationship building between Dmitry and Royal was very sweet. The tension in this novel kept me on my seat! I love Latrivia S. Nelson's style of writing and look forward to giving many of her other novels a try.

Kincade's Rose (The Megalodon Team, #1)Kincade's Rose by Aliyah Burke

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an awesome start to a military IR romance series!!! Kincade's Rose has everything- sexual tension, the right amount of sex, adventure, insecurities on both the hero and the heroine's part, resolution, and back story, everything!! I'm definitely looking forward to reading more of this series and learning more about the rest of the men in the Megalodon Team, and hopefully see more of Jayde and Tyson.

Visual-Kei Rock StarVisual-Kei Rock Star by Shiree McCarver

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just finished reading Visual-Kei Rock Star, and I absolutely loved it! I tend to shy away from romance novels where the hero is a virgin, or the heroine is somewhat older, but I'm so glad I gave this one a chance. I would've truly missed out a great romance novel if I hadn't stepped outside of my comfort zone. The romance between Sadie and Subaru, was funny, touching, emotional, and erotic all at once. I don't want to give away too much of the story because I want everyone to keep an open mind and read Sadie and Subaru's story, but to see the way these characters changed from the beginning to end of the story was awesome. Also, I love asian men, but I'm not familiar with the Japanese glam rock genre, but my interest is definitely peaked; if anyone has any recommendations, please don't hesitate to share.

No Ordinary LoveNo Ordinary Love by Angela Weaver

I just finished reading this one, and have to say that I really enjoyed it. The heroine Alex was tough, but wasn't an over the top, bad ass, tough girl. She was smart, and knew when to except help. The hero Xian, was protective, but wasn't some overbearing alpha male- which was a total change from some of the books that I read recently. I enjoyed read the chemistry between Xian and Alex, and I liked the inclusion of Chou in the story. There was was the right amount of suspense, chemistry, and lust in this one. The characters weren't in bed together by page 35, and it was really refreshing to read a story involving a hero and heroine of color that didn't fit stereotypes, or focus of racial difference throughout the entire novel. There weren't 1 billion references to skin color throughout the story- how refreshing!
